About the Color (Ambrosius)

This colorway commands attention with its range of purples from violet to lavender, streaked throughout with bold strands of aqua blue. You’ll feel like royalty and take charge of any project with a colorway like this.

The Story Behind the Colorway Name

Ambrosius Aurelianus was a Romano-Britain warlord who fought during the time of Vortigern and the invasion of Britain by the German brothers Hengist and Horsa. Winning a successful battle during this time, Ambrosius becomes a key figure in the stories before Arthur is born. In fact, some authors claim Ambrosius is Uther’s brother and thus Arthur’s uncle (although he died before Arthur was born).
