Chivalry in The Saxon Shore
About the Yarn Base (Chivalry)
A combination of lustrous BFL (Bluefaced Leicester) and an oversized skein (150 grams) makes this yarn a perfect selection for your next fingering weight garment. Or maybe you want to create a larger shawl with fewer ends to weave in. Or socks or fingerless mitts that will hold up to wear. (Click here to learn more about BFL.)

The Story Behind the Colorway Name
The island of Britain was attacked and invaded on the east coast by the Saxons, and the shore is named either because of their attacks or because that was the first place the Saxons settled (most likely a bit of both). Arthur fought against these invaders to keep them out of Britain and won a great battle at Mount Badon that kept the peace for a number of years; however, eventually the Saxons would conquer much of the island.

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns
The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name (no story on Quest or Adventure colors).
Shipping is free within the United States and free for international orders over $100.
