Guenevere in Meliador
About the Yarn Base (Guenevere)
Guenevere is a yarn that begs to be made into something lacy and lightweight. The 2-ply structure plays nicely with yarn overs and eyelets, creating a fabric that wants to remain more open and airy. The tonal quality of the color adds depth and dimension to your projects; this yarn has a few secrets, but it’s willing to share them with you.

The Story Behind the Colorway Name
In a tangential tale, a series of tournaments is organized with the victor winning the hand of Hermondine of Scotland. Meliador, from Cornwall, emerges early as the clear victor. The final tournament takes place at Camelot, and Agravain, Arthur's nephew, woos Hermondine's cousin, Lady Floree, who had organized the tournament.

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns
The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name (no story on Quest colors).
