About the Color (By enchantment thus was I disformed)

Sometimes you see something out of the corner of your eye and you just have to look again, hoping to find the magic you thought you glimpsed the first time around. This light blue yarn does just that – is it icy blue or periwinkle? The color of a sunny sky or the raindrops on a window? In reality, it can be almost anything – the choice is yours.

The Story Behind the Colorway Name

In "The Wedding of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnelle," Gawain has married an ugly woman. On their wedding night, Ragnelle reveals she can be beautiful by night yet ugly by day or vice versa. Gawain allows Ragnelle to choose. He discovers Ragnelle’s stepmother had cursed her until the best man in England married her and gave her sovereignty within their marriage. By giving up the choice of when her beauty would show, Gawain has done exactly the thing to break the curse, so Ragnelle returns to her unenchanted (and beautiful) form.

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns

The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name.
