What gifts does this yarn have in store for you? Its mystical aqua blue color is sure to draw attention; you’ll soon find yourself dreaming about its subtle beauty and magical appeal.
The Story Behind the Colorway Name
Ganieda is a fairly obscure Arthurian character. According to Geoffrey of Monmouth, Ganieda was Merlin's sister, and she built a house in the woods where Merlin was able to observe the sky and make predictions. One day, Taliesin (a famous bard) joined them and when Ganieda drank water from a healing spring, she also received the gift of prophecy. The aqua color represents the magical spring from which she drank.
