About the Color (Glastonbury)
The deep green elements of this yarn are reminiscent of a magical isle, a place where history is made and magic runs rampant. Immerse yourself in its depths, ranging from clover to evergreen and many shades in between.
The Story Behind the Colorway Name
Glastonbury Tor holds a special place in the Arthurian legend as many believe it to be the site of Avalon. The Tor itself rises over the land and during the early Middle Ages, it was probably surrounded by marshland, making it a kind of isle. There was a monastery on the top of Glastonbury Tor and in the late twelfth century, the monks claim to have found the burial of a man and woman who were King Arthur and Guenevere. The green color of the yarn represents the gorgeous green landscape around the Tor.
