The Story Behind the Colorway Name
In a Middle Scots poem, Gawain is shown to be the most perfectly courteous knight through two events. Arthur and some of his knights are traveling and stop outside a city. Kay goes into the city to get some supplies but comes back emptyhanded because of his rudeness toward the villagers. Gawain goes into the city and smooths things over and gets the supplies. They then go to the castle of Golagros, who has refused to pledge fealty to Arthur. After the other envoys have been unsuccessful at getting Golagros to accept Arthur, Gawain goes in to fight Golagros. Although Gawain would clearly win, he pretends to be defeated so Golagros can save face in front of his men. As a result, Golagros pledges his support to Arthur.

Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name.
