About the Color (Lanval)
A rich brick red, this color has hints of rust and burgundy mixed together. It’s sure to stay loyal and true and lends a masculine richness to any project.
The Story Behind the Colorway Name
Lanval is a character in a story by the same name by Marie de France. One of King Arthur’s knights, Lanval falls in love with a fairy woman and is given many gifts. However, he is forbidden to reveal who his lover is or risk losing her forever. Unfortunately for Lanval, he lets Guenevere goad him into telling about his lover. But because he reveals her identity to protect his (and her) honor, his fairy lover forgives him and takes him away from Arthur’s court so the two of them can live happily together.

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns
The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name.
The yarn is ready to ship in a muslin project bag for safe delivery and will arrive in your mailbox in a cheerful purple mailing envelope. Your yarn typically ships within 24 hours, often on the same day you place your order.
