Lancelot in Agravain
About the Yarn Base (Lancelot)
Sometimes you really want to wrap yourself in the warmth and softness of wool. Lancelot is the perfect yarn for those cozier projects that require a thicker base; you’ll be surprised how squishy and soft your finished objects become when Lancelot is your chosen yarn. You’ll find the tonal quality works well to add depth to your projects, and the stitch definition won’t let you down for everything from stockinette to cables.

About the Color (Agravain)
A deep black cherry, laced through with hints of deepest plum to lighter blush, depending on the base. This dark burgundy lends a hint of mystery & mischief to any project.
The Story Behind the Colorway Name
Agravain is one of Gawain's brothers, and like the dark color, Agravain was a bit of a dark character. Alongside Mordred, Agravain accused Lancelot of having an affair with Guenevere and set out to catch them in the act to offer proof to Arthur. In the process, Agravain is slain by Lancelot, and his death (along with the later accidental killing of Gareth, another of Gawain's brothers) leads Gawain to seek vengeance on Lancelot, which ultimately leads to Arthur's downfall.

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns
The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name (no story on Quest colors).
The yarn is ready to ship in a muslin project bag for safe delivery and will arrive in your mailbox in a cheerful purple mailing envelope. Your yarn typically ships within 24 hours, often on the same day you place your order.
