Lancelot in Green Knight
About the Yarn Base (Lancelot)
Sometimes you really want to wrap yourself in the warmth and softness of wool. Lancelot is the perfect yarn for those cozier projects that require a thicker base; you’ll be surprised how squishy and soft your finished objects become when Lancelot is your chosen yarn. You’ll find the tonal quality works well to add depth to your projects, and the stitch definition won’t let you down for everything from stockinette to cables.

About the Color (Green Knight)
This yarn evokes images of mythical beasts: dragons, monsters, trolls and more! It’s a blend of the darkest hunter green with hints of Kelly green and sage.
The Story Behind the Colorway Name
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is my favorite medieval story. The Green Knight--who is completely green, from skin and hair to clothing--rides into Arthur's court and challenges the knights to a contest: anyone there can accept his axe and use it to strike a blow to the Green Knight. A year later, the Green Knight gets to return the blow. Gawain accepts the challenge and proceeds to cut off the Green Knight's head. But rather than killing the Green Knight, he picks up his head and rides back out of the court, telling Gawain that he'll see him next year. How will Gawain be able to receive the return blow without dying?

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns
The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name (no story on Quest colors).
The yarn is ready to ship in a muslin project bag for safe delivery and will arrive in your mailbox in a cheerful purple mailing envelope. Your yarn typically ships within 24 hours, often on the same day you place your order.
