Lancelot in Nimue
About the Yarn Base (Lancelot)
Sometimes you really want to wrap yourself in the warmth and softness of wool. Lancelot is the perfect yarn for those cozier projects that require a thicker base; you’ll be surprised how squishy and soft your finished objects become when Lancelot is your chosen yarn. You’ll find the tonal quality works well to add depth to your projects, and the stitch definition won’t let you down for everything from stockinette to cables.

About the Color (Nimue)
A grapey purple color, with tones of lavender and lilac, this color is full of magic and mystery.
The Story Behind the Colorway Name
Nimue persuaded Merlin to teach her magic and also became his lover. But she betrayed him by imprisoning him in a tree (or cave or tower, depending on the story). Afterwards, she married Pelleas, one of the knights. Her name varies across the stories, including Niniane and Viviane as variants.

About the Yarn from Round Table Yarns
The yarns from Round Table Yarns are dyed by hand in small dye lots so each skein receives special care and attention. Colorway names have been taken from the stories of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, and on the inside of each label, you can read the story of the inspiration behind the name (no story on Quest colors).
The yarn is ready to ship in a muslin project bag for safe delivery and will arrive in your mailbox in a cheerful purple mailing envelope. Your yarn typically ships within 24 hours, often on the same day you place your order.
